CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) UPDATE

To our patients, family, and friends,

San Mateo County has lifted the indoor mask mandate today, February 16, 2022. Medical and hospital settings are exempt from this mandate. Face coverings are still required for all individuals in health care settings, regardless of their vaccination status.

We ask that all patients and visitors continue to wear face coverings and practice social distancing during their in-office appointments.

Thanks for your understanding,

Peninsula Gastrointestinal Specialists, Inc.

Dear Patients:

We at Peninsula Gastrointestinal Specialists have been closely monitoring the latest news and regulations surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. We have supported these efforts through the use of Telehealth (phone and video) visits and by adopting social distancing and other CDC guidelines.  We are available for in-person patient care.

The seven Bay Area counties have eased restrictions for healthcare operations. All patients can now be seen in our clinic. You can book an appointment online at https://www.mygidoctors.com/appointment or by calling us at 650-342-7432. Telehealth appointments will continue to be offered.

  • CDC GUIDELINES: We make every effort to meet or exceed all CDC standards for cleaning and minimizing exposure risk. We have implemented no-contact check-in procedures. Exam rooms are cleaned after each visit.
  • PATIENT AND EMPLOYEE SCREENING: We screen patients and employees for symptoms including temperature checks, and those with symptoms are asked to return home.
  • PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE): The clinicians and staff all wear masks and use other PPE as needed. Patients also are required to wear masks at all times and are given a mask if they do not have one.
  • SOCIAL DISTANCING: Only the patient being treated enters the clinic to limit unnecessary interaction.  Appointments are spaced out for ample disinfection for each new patient.

Helping our patients stay healthy and safe is our top priority. Rest assured that our team is here for you. We look forward to seeing you to care for your digestive health!

Sincerely,

Peninsula Gastrointestinal Specialists, Inc.

We would like to inform you that as cases of COVID-19 are confirmed in the Bay Area, we will continue to do our best to keep abreast of the rapidly changing guidelines and taking action to prevent potential exposure to the virus.

1. The building has implemented enhanced routine environmental cleaning procedures throughout the property. This includes enhanced anti-bacterial cleaning solutions.

2. We are encouraging greetings other than hand-shaking, constant & diligent hand washing for at least 20 seconds, not touching our faces, and training our employees to do the same.

3. We encourage everyone to practice social distances (stay at least 6 feet away from others) and are promoting this by staggering appointment times to avoid crowding in the waiting room.

4.  We ask for your help that if you are ill or show any signs such as fever or cough, that you remain home and consult with your physician.

We remain open for our patients to help with their digestive needs.  For more information, please visit San Mateo County Health Website, and Centers for Disease Control, and Google's Project Baseline Website.
